There are many exciting things to do at Allamuchy Mountain State Park. There are over 14 miles of marked hiking, biking and horseback riding trails in the northern section of the park. Cranberry Lake, Jefferson Lake, Tilcon Lake and Deer Park Pond provide excellent fishing opportunities for catching trout, bass, perch, sunfish and pickerel. These bodies of water are also open for boating, canoeing and kayaking.
The Allamuchy Natural Area is open to deer and small game hunting with the appropriate licensure. Head to the Waterloo Village section of the park for rock climbing. Groups are welcome to camp overnight from April 1 – October 31 at one of the many comfortable and safe family campsites. Visit the website for more information.
