Cobra Fencing is dedicated to teaching the development of fencing. They are particularly interested in teaching the fundamentals of the sport to beginners. Coach Steve Kaplan is a US Fencing Coaches Association Fencing Master and a member of the 1976 US Olympic Team. A four-time US National Team Champion, he was also Head Varsity Coach at NYU and was inducted into the NYU Athletics Hall of Fame. Coach Mitro Valsamis is the foil coach at Cobra Fencing and has a number of championships to his name.
