The Morris County Library has a lot of events going on, but one of their most popular offerings are their free computer classes. These classes, which are 90 minutes, are designed for people with little to no experience and taught by library staff.
What will students learn when they take these courses? The Morris County Library offers instruction in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint and PC Basics. In Excel, students will learn how to create simple spreadsheets, create graphs and use basic formulas in the program. In the Word classes, students will learn the ins and outs of using this word processor, including interacting with fonts, margins, line spacing and more. In PowerPoint, students will create a sic presentation from start to finish. For people who are new to computers, PC Basics I and II will go over computer terminology, the parts of the computer, using Google and more.
