Whippany Railway Museum, located in Morris County NJ, is a unique and fun museum that you can visit with your children. Aiming to teach everyone about the history of trains and the original form of mass transportation, Whippany Railway Museum has various exhibits and hosts numerous events.
When visiting the museum's structural exhibits, you and your children will be given a chance to see and learn about the Whippany Freight House, the station and offices that were originally built in 1905, as well as the station's watch box. At this unique NJ museum, the fun and learning never ends. In addition to seeing numerous station structures, you will also be given a chance to learn about train equipment. From the engines and rails to the caboose and passenger cars, you will learn everything there is to know about trains, their place in history and how they have evolved over the years.
