New to Sandy Hook's Gateway National Recreation Area is overnight camping! They now offer tent camping only on their beautiful state park. Now the fun doesn't have to end when the sun goes down, stay the night and let the fun last all weekend!
You can chose between shaded and wooded campsites or open field campsites. The campsites all have a picnic table, grill and fire ring. Although the campsites are primitive, the park offers dozens of activities the entire family will love! They have a beautiful beach that is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Spend the day relaxing on the beach and swimming in the beautiful Atlantic Ocean or spend the day fishing off of the beach. Spend the day biking or hiking on one of their many trails. Trails give you a chance to see Gateway National Recreation Area in a unique way!
