The Bergen Academy of Music and Art prides itself on being a fun and positive learning environment for musicians of all ages. They offer lessons in piano, voice, violin, viola and guitar. Their faculty have been carefully selected by BAMA. Each instructor is an internationally-recognized musician who actively performs in the New Jersey/New York area. Additionally, each faculty member has extensive experience instructing students of all ages and skill levels.
BAMA offers private piano instruction for students as young as 5 years old. Private lessons feature a personalized approach to improve technique, fundamental music theory and ear training. Private lessons can also be used to prepare for performances, auditions and qualification exams. Students also perform in a recital during the spring. For very young musicians, BAMA offers an exciting and educational Piano Toons preschool program. Students ages 4-5 can participate in a small group lesson that develops musical skills, artistic appreciation, coordination and socialization skills.
