The Grain House Restaurant at the Olde Mill Inn has been named as one of the 12 Prettiest Restaurants in New Jersey.  The restaurant is located in a historic building (constructed in 1768) that was originally a grain that is said to have stored the grain for George Washington's Revolutionary Army.

The Grain House serves classic American cuisine under the direction of Executive Chef John Benjamin.

The restaurant offers exceptional cuisine for lunch and dinner seven days a week.  Featured items include  prime steak cuts, braised short ribs,  Griggstown chicken and fresh fish, a large assortment of seasonal salads, plus the highly popular Grain House Burger (Angus Beef, Free-Range turkey or Veggie Burgers).  Some of the innovative items that were recently added are the Farmer's Market Soba Noodle Bowl, Handmade Panella Flatbread and Chickpea Dip.  On Saturdays, guests can expect to indulge in a beautifully prepared à a Carte Brunch/Lunch menu.  On Sundays, an expansive Brunch Buffet is available from 10am - 2pm.

Executive Chef Benjamin is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, where he began honing his formidable culinary skills. He has worked with such world-renowned chefs as Thomas Keller, Charles Palmer and John Halligan. Chef Benjamin's style reflects his study of their individual techniques and the experience that he gained in the kitchens of Aureole in New York, The French Laundry in California, and the Hyatt Regency in Connecticut. Chef Benjamin’s style reflects his desire for perfection and creating the ultimate tasting experience with every dish he prepares.
