The Naval Air Station Wildwood Aviation Museum is a great place to visit at the Jersey Shore to learn about military history. The historic air station served as a bomber squadron training facility during World War II. Hangar #1 was transformed into an educational museum that houses military aircraft, engines, and other interesting interactive exhibits. Be sure to bring a camera because you will get a chance to sit in the cockpit of real military aircraft and climb the air traffic control tower! There are also 26 planes and helicopters on display at the museum, flight simulator games and more. History geeks are sure to love this fascinating Jersey Shore museum.
