The Quick Chek New Jersey Festival of Ballooning is held every year in July at the Solberg Airport in Readington NJ. There is live musical entertainment, children's entertainment, food and drink, interactive exhibits and many different attractions. There is usually about 125 balloons filling the sky. It is the largest and most popular ballooning event in the United States. Twice a day there is an old-time air show and group parachute jump. Don't miss the spectacular fireworks display. At night there is a "light bulb" show when all the balloons inflate and light up casting an eerie light in the night sky to thrill the crowds. For the littlest ones there is a special area with a petting zoo and many games. For those who want to ride the balloons, you have to reserve early because they go fast.
