Explore Old Mine Road is one of New Jersey’s oldest scenic trails. With a starting point right before you exit New Jersey and enter Pennsylvania on Route 80, people can watch for, and identify, numerous birds and other critters. Although the whole road spans 104 miles from Hardwick, NJ up to Kingston, NY, the most pristine and historic segment of the road is the 40 mile segment running through the Delaware Water Gap. The road is rather undeveloped and passes a number of historic sites, villages, houses, and other attractions. This drive is relaxing and allows you to experience nature in a calming and unique way. Plan your drive or bike ride to get the most you can out of the experience!
