The Point Pleasant Boardwalk is a bunch of amazing shops, attractions, rides, games, restaurants, and bars – all rolled into one mile of boardwalk! Starting from the Manasquan Inlet in the north to the New Jersey Avenue is the south, you can experience a family-friendly spot or a place for a night out on the town. No matter what the occasion, there’s a ton of spots to stop and enjoy the beach, sun, sand, and attractions.
Where to begin?
Start on the sand and spend your day tanning, digging for shells, or splashing in the water. Kids under 5 are free, kids 5-11 are $3, and adults pay $9 on weekdays and $10 on weekends. Pack your towels, beach, chair, sunscreen, and sandwiches, because you need to come prepared with the essentials. Lifeguards are on duty 9:30 to 5:30!
When you’ve had enough sun, get ready for some amusements that can be considered the best in the state.
On the northern end of the boardwalk, you can explore the Jenkinson’s Aquarium. With a large penguin exhibit, sharks, seals, and feeding times where kids can watch the animals have lunch or dinner, this is an attraction that is worth a visit! The aquarium is open 9:30 – 5 on the weekdays and 10 -5 on the weekends. Admissions is free for children 2 and under, children are $8, seniors are $9, and adult are $14.
Done feeling fishy? There are a ton of places on the Point Pleasant Boardwalk to grab a bite to eat. Little Mac’s offers the best pizza and burgers, while sit-down places include Oceanside Dining and Pavilion, Joey Tomato’s, the Inlet Bar, and Boardwalk Bar and Grill! Don’t forget Jenkinson’s Sweet Shoppe for ice cream, candy apples, taffy, fudge, and the bet old-school candy.

Head over to the Jenkinson’s Amusement Park to experience fun games and rides for all ages. Small children love the kiddie area, while bigger kids can choose from a roller coaster, anti-gravity ride, and more. Tuesdays and Fridays are wristband days, where for a small fee kids can have access to unlimited rides.
More attractions await you with miniature adventure golf, a ropes course, batting cage, 7D dark ride, and funhouse. Pick your favorite and be delighted at the experience or do them all.
Before you leave, you have to win a cool prize. There are great boardwalk games to choose from including soccer kick, darts, fishing for the little ones, basketball, balloon bust – the games are endless. Make sure you hit this at some point during your day, so you can win a prize to take home.
