The Hereford Inlet Lighthouse has been a cherished landmark for residents and visitors of North Wildwood since the early 1900s. It isn't your typical lighthouse either, it is considered to be a residential-style lighthouse and was originally built to mark the entrance to the Hereford Inlet.
On a clear night, the beacon on top of the 57.6' building can be seen up to 13 nautical miles away and is now considered to be a site of significant historical significance to the community.
The inside of the lighthouse is furnished with period antiques, educational displays and lighthouse memorabilia turning it into an amazing museum that is fun and educational for everyone.
