Founded in 1971 with the mission to support and promote the development of the arboretum and other horticultural facilities in Morris County, Frelinghuysen Arboretum offers various programs, exhibits, and trips for the community.
Offering regular educational programs for toddlers and children through junior high school like their Sprouts and Seedlings program where they teach love for nature by planting seeds and outdoor exploration. They also have offered a Branching Out! a program that has been going strong for over forty-six seasons that teaches hands-on gardening techniques in the spring and summer.
The Frelinghuysen Arboretum also has an annual plant sale that putting the "Party" into a seasonal shopping event with live Jazz music brought in by the popular Back2Rock music school from Denville. With door prizes and food and drinks, this is an event you don't want to miss.
